NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

Spencer Johnson had 14 points to lead the Kangaroos (12-18), who went 6-12 in conference play during the regular season, including two losses to Oakland. LaTreze Mushatt had 13 points and eight boards, while Trey McKinney-Jones added 11 points in the setback.

Oakland wasted no time jumping in front, as a Drew Valentine three had the Grizzlies ahead by a 28-17 margin midway through the first half. UMKC was able to hang around for the rest of the period and trailed, 45-35, at halftime.

In the second half, Oakland began the period on a 20-9 spurt, building a 20- point lead, 65-45, on a Wright layup. Although the Grizzlies did not score in the final 5 1/2 minutes, the Kangaroos did not threaten down the stretch.

The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
